Terms & Conditions

These are the Terms & Conditions that apply to the Advanced Learning Institute (ALI) conference registrants, attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors.

Payments:

You may pay immediately upon registration via PayPal or credit card or choose to pay by invoice. If you choose to pay by invoice, you will receive an invoice in a separate email on the day you register. You may then pay by purchase order, check, electronic funds transfer, or credit card.

Full payment or proof of payment must be received no later than two weeks before the start of the conference in order to hold your registration.

Early Bird Rate:

In order to qualify for any “early bird” rates or other promotional discounts, payment must be received by the deadline date.

Cancellation/Substitution Policy—Virtual Events:

You may send a substitute to attend in your place or transfer your registration to another ALI event at any time with no penalty.  Please notify us as soon as possible.

You will receive the recording and copies of the presentations after the event is held.  Virtual event fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation/Substitution Policy—In-Person Events:

You may send a substitute to attend in your place or transfer your registration to another ALI event at any time with no penalty.  Please notify us as soon as possible.

If you cancel, in writing, more than two weeks prior to the conference a refund will be provided less a $399 administration fee. To avoid the administration fee, you may choose to transfer your registration to a colleague or to another scheduled ALI event or to receive a transferrable credit memo to attend another ALI conference within one year of the date of cancellation.

Registered delegates who do not attend or who cancel two weeks prior to the conference or less will be issued a credit memo. Credit memos will be valid for one year from the date of issuance and may be used by anyone in your organization.

Program Changes:

ALI reserves the right to make changes in programs, speakers, or venues or to cancel or postpone programs if enrollment criteria are not met or when conditions beyond its control prevail. Every effort will be made to contact each enrollee if a program is canceled. If a program is not held for any reason, ALI’s liability is limited to providing a credit memo of the equivalent value of the registration fee paid.

If ALI postpones or reschedules an event, your registration will automatically roll over to the new date. If an event is canceled for any reason, a credit memo will be immediately issued to use up to 12 months after the notification of event cancellation to attend another ALI program of the registrant’s choice. The credit memo is transferrable to a colleague and may be used for any ALI event. Refund requests for canceled events will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Speakers:

Views expressed by speakers are their own. ALI cannot accept liability for advice given or views expressed, by any speaker at the conference or in any material provided to attendees. ALI may use the speaker’s name and presentation materials for promoting attendance at the conference. ALI may use audio and/or video of the speaker’s session and the recording may be sold as part of the overall conference materials. ALI may reproduce copies of the speaker’s presentation on paper and/or electronically and these may be sold as part of the overall hand-out materials during the conference and after the event. Speakers who do not wish to give permission for the above terms and conditions should notify ALI during the planning of the conference.

Data Protection:

By submitting registration details, attendees agree to allow ALI and companies associated with the conference to contact them regarding their services. Attendees and speakers who do not wish to receive such communications should advise ALI customer service at the time of registration.

The contact details of registered delegates will be placed on the attendee list which will be provided to some sponsoring companies and to all attendees for them to see who is at the conference for the purpose of networking and meetings. Delegates who do not wish to be included on this list should advise ALI customer service before the end of the conference.
